Ash strongest Pokemon from the animated series
Ash Ketchum is a young trainer whose dream is to become a Pokemon Master. The road to this goal is long and requires many sacrifices. In the animated series, Ash caught about 50 Pokemon (the number varies depending on whether we count all 30 Tauros and Pokemon caught and then released). All of Ash’s Pokemon, however, are a completely different matter. Many viewers are probably wondering which is Ash strongest Pokemon. So let’s try to answer this question.

ToggleAsh strongest Pokemon – Pokemon selection criteria
The animated series, unlike the games, does not give us precise information about the strength, level or attacks of a given creature. This makes it quite difficult to mathematically determine the combat value of a given Pokémon. Sometimes we get some hints about this, but on the other hand, they often have no bearing on the plot seen in the episodes. For example, Pikachu defeated legendary Pokemon but could also lose to level 5 Snivy. Therefore, choosing Ash’s strongest Pokemon will be purely subjective. This is reminiscent of MCU films, where the characters’ power levels are adjusted to the events the viewer is currently watching.
Sometimes the basic forms of Pokemon are stronger than fully evolved creatures. Such cases may be Bulbasaur or Squirtle. They are important in the plot because they are not only used for fighting duels, but are often helpful in everyday activities. Many of these actions are fully understandable, including the fact that Ash often misses the opportunity to catch strong Pokemon. Thanks to this, viewers become more attached to the hero’s creatures. But how does this affect their strength? Which Ash’s Pokemon is the strongest?
3. Charizard - popularity greater than Pokemon's power?
Charizard is the most popular starter from the Kanto region, storming the hearts of fans around the world. He progressed through the entire evolutionary line very quickly, gaining large amounts of combat experience. After his evolution into Charmeleon, he stopped listening to Ash. This continued until his duel with Poliwrath, where he was once again on the verge of death, just like when he first met Ash. Since then, Ash decided to use his help very often. Misty criticized Ash for choosing to fight too often, especially against less experienced trainers, so that Ash wanted to show off as an extremely strong opponent.
Charizard was often chosen by Ketchum to fight heavy battles. He defeated Magmar Blaine, Blastoise Gary and Articuno Noland. In the first film, when he showed disobedience, he attacked Mewtwo, but he died in the fight with him and his clone. For a time, Ash left him to train with the other Charizards. Thanks to this, the level of battles increased for our hero, because he did not have his secret weapon. This is definitely one of Ash’s strongest Pokemon, which is why it is on the lowest step of the podium.
2. Ash Greninja - Ash's extraordinary transformation of Pokemon
Ash-Greninja is a unique and powerful form of Greninja that appears in the Pokémon anime series. She was first introduced in the XY series during the Kalos region storyline. Ash’s Greninja forms a special bond with Ash and undergoes a transformation known as the Bond Phenomenon, which results in his unique appearance and enhanced abilities.
Thanks to their special bond, Greninji changes. Its body becomes dark blue and gains red accents, including red eyes, larger fins on its back and arms. Ash-Greninja possesses enormous speed, agility and power. His movements become stronger and he gains the ability to instinctively predict his opponents’ movements. This increased intuition allows Ash-Greninja to react quickly and strategically during battles.
During his adventures, Greninja saved Ash many times. He defeated Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Abomasnow. It was his incredible skills that greatly influenced Ash’s performance in the Lumiose League.
1. Pikachu - a reliable friend
Pikachu is by far Ash’s strongest Pokemon. She accompanies him from the first episode and stays with him until the end. He defeated legendary and Ground-type Pokemon, which should be resistant to electric attacks. He stayed at this stage of evolution to maintain his speed. The Pokemon games have tried to explain its supernatural strength. We moved him from Pokemon Yellow to the second generation games, he was carrying an item called Lightball, it doubled Pikachu’s Special Attack.
This cute yellow Pokemon was Team Rocket’s obsession. They wanted to steal it for their boss Giovanni as an unusually valuable trophy.
His invaluable contribution to the team is hard to ignore. Without a doubt, this is Ash’s strongest Pokemon. However, let’s remember that its strength comes mainly from the script. As the mascot of the series, he must be strong. It was Pikach who dealt the final blow to Charizard, giving Ash the first title of Pokemon Master in his career.
Ash's strongest Pokemon - Summary
Ash strongest Pokemon is certainly Pikachu, although each of his creatures had their moments in the animated series. We also did not include Solgaleo, who is stronger than Pikachu, but was not caught and only accompanied Ash and his friends.
It’s worth noting that Ash’s team composition changes with each region, and he’s had several other powerful teammates throughout the series. Let’s remember that in the Pokémon world, strength is not always the only criterion for assessing a Pokémon. The values that Ash passed on over the years were determination, loyalty, and the ability to bond with Pokémon. This also made him a unique coach.
